Do you have an EKO Core stethoscope? Are you tired of your power always being drained when you need the amplification the most?
Introducing a simple cover for the power button! This will prevent the power button from being pushed in during use. When you need to use the amplification, simply slide the cover down a little bit and it's ready to be used!
This was an item made by shawnrohan on thingiverse and modified by me to improve the rigidity, durability, and some of the shape.
To use, simply twist off the tube that is the longer piece, going towards the earpieces, from the amplification unit (do NOT force it!!), slide the cover with the circular piece covering the back side of the button (make sure it is OFF before covering so you are not draining battery), and reattach the stethoscope tube to the amplification unit. When you need amplification, slide the cover down so that it clears the power button and listen to your heart's content, then turn amplification off and slide the cover back up!
This is made with either PLA, a plastic-like material suited for indoors use only, or PETG, a more durable, UV-resistant material which allows it to be used outdoors. Even with PETG, I do NOT recommend leaving this in your car or in a hot environment.
